Phantom dolls are also called mannequins which come from the Dutch word "Maneken" which means little man, this doll is made to resemble a human body figure that is used to display clothes. A few years later these dolls began circulating in France being exchanged among the aristocratic and merchant classes which were called fashion dolls. In the 19th century, the need for teaching aids about body anatomy increased sharply along with the increasing number of medical students. The limitation of the corpse that will be used as teaching aids for the purpose of medical education causes various ways, one of which is by committing murder. Seeing these unfavorable developments, the British parliament passed the Anatomy Act 1832, which provided legal limits for the provision of remains. The Indonesian government issued a Government Regulation on Clinical Corpse Surgery and Anatomical Corpse Surgery and Transplantation of Human Bodies and / or Tissues in 1981. This is done to protect and respect the remains as human remains. For this reason, medical, nursing and midwifery education needs teaching aids to study human anatomy through mannequins or commonly known as phantom dolls, which are generally made of silicone, rubber, or fiber.
